Shari received her Master’s degree from the University of Michigan School of Social Work with a focus in Administration. In addition to working as a therapist in private practice and Community Mental Health settings, her career has included teaching as an Adjunct Lecturer at the U of M School of Social Work, mentoring other professionals, and managing and directing a variety of community-based programs and services. She has pursued continuing education in current research-based tools, including EMDR, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused and Narrative therapies, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Meaning-Centered Psychotherapy with cancer patients. Additional interests include Soul Collage®, Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, the creative arts as a tool for personal growth, and therapeutic aspects of ecological restoration.
