Susie Yahia, LLSW

Providing an empathetic and compassionate approach to psychotherapy, Susie Yahia provides a safe space for individuals to process trauma and gain a deeper understanding of self, using evidenced based practice.  She will explore the emotional facets of your being, this includes building on your strengths, and working with you throughout your growth. She assists in helping understand the meanings that are attached to past experiences, by tailoring therapeutic techniques to one’s unique needs. By listening and making one feel seen and heard, she will work with individuals to help build a healthy emotional foundation.

Susie graduated with her MSW from Michigan State University; she comes from an inpatient setting working on the crisis unit with high acuity individuals, providing therapy and gaining clinical skills. She is experienced and specializes in crisis intervention, suicide prevention, trauma, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, depression, domestic violence, sexual trauma, grief, women’s advocacy and codependency. Additionally, she has history working with and advocating for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

Susie is committed to her own personal and professional growth. Outside of the professional setting, she spends the most time with her loved ones, taking care of her animals, enjoying the outdoors and finding time for travel.
